Pulling Cards While Sick — Good Idea or Not?

Hey everyone, quick question — is it a bad idea to do a tarot reading when you’re sick? I’m not sure if being under the weather affects (I never remember which one is correct, lol) the energy of the reading and makes it less accurate.

I’ve got a fever, cough, and sore throat right now. I’m still pretty new to tarot, doing my daily three-card pulls and journaling how they relate to my day. Should I just wait until I feel better, and maybe stick to studying card meanings while I’m sick?

Yeah, being sick does affect the reading, since it affects your whole experience, which the reading is part of — but that doesn’t automatically make it inaccurate.

Honestly, just do what feels right to you. If you’ve got the energy to pull cards, go for it — being sick doesn’t break any rules.

Tarot is really a mental exercise, and when you’re sick your body just doesn’t have as much energy for stuff like that. Kind of like reading, doing a puzzle, or writing — everything feels harder when you’re this sick. You might find it tough to focus on the cards and journal about the reading.

I’d personally recommend saving your energy until you feel better, but if you feel like doing a pull anyway, go for it — there’s no harm in it.
