Hey everyone, quick question about physical tarot vs digital tarot.
I’m kind of in the closet with my tarot practice since I live with very Christian parents who wouldn’t be thrilled if they knew I was into it. Because of that, I’ve been using the Labyrinthos app — it’s pretty low-key and doesn’t obviously scream “tarot app.”
What I’m wondering is: is reading tarot digitally actually a decent way to learn and practice, especially since there’s no physical shuffling involved? I didn’t do a ton of research when I started, just picked up the basics and went from there. Sometimes the readings really resonate, other times not so much, and I still struggle to clearly understand what the cards are trying to tell me (which I assume might just be beginner stuff).
I’ve been using the app for about a year now, so I’m curious — what do more experienced readers think? Is digital tarot “valid,” or am I missing something important by not using physical cards?
