Honestly, we’re all going to die eventually, so technically that kind of question is always a yes. The card isn’t wrong.
That said, readings work better if you leave room for grey. For yes/no stuff I usually do a two-card pull:
- Two upright cards = likely yes. I still say "likely" because nothing’s guaranteed.
- Two reversed cards = likely no.
- One upright, one reversed = maybe.
The cards give the extra color. A likely yes might feel peaceful or resolved - with the Sun, a yes could come with acceptance or calm. A maybe usually points to unresolved stuff that could still tip the outcome one way or the other.
Heads up: asking about death rarely gives comfort. Tarot can help, but reframing is kinder and more useful - for example, "How can I bring comfort to this person or myself?"
