Yeah, that’s basically how I see it too. For me, all tarot reading uses intuition to some degree, even when someone leans on traditional meanings, symbolism, spreads, correspondences, psychology, and so on.
When a reader labels themselves as doing “intuitive tarot,” I usually take that as shorthand for “I’m not claiming psychic powers or spirit communication.” It typically means they’re working from emotional impressions, pattern recognition, empathy, and personal interpretation, rather than saying they can predict the future or channel entities.
It can also mean they’re more flexible with card meanings. Instead of “this card always equals X,” they follow whatever feeling or image comes up in the moment.
