Greetings!
Regarding this card as an expression of feelings, what are your thoughts?
I've encountered this card frequently, not just today but throughout this month.
I sense a theme of "strife," aligning with the interpretation in Thoth tarot, suggesting that this person may be experiencing internal conflict or a desire to confront you.
While some associate it with "intense desire," I find this interpretation less fitting for the 5 of Wands.

What are your perspectives?

Appreciate the assistance!

I interpret this card as reflective of someone who perceives their situation as unwinnable, leading to a sense of hopelessness regarding the outcome. Despite this feeling, they are not prepared to walk away and abandon the issue. Deep within, there remains a glimmer of hope that things might eventually turn out alright, but they are unable to discern how, leaving them feeling defeated in the current circumstances.

In my view, this card forms a complementary pair with the Devil card, indicating a sense of being trapped by a particular thought process or emotion. This individual is unable to move beyond it, leading to continued internal conflict and struggle. They find themselves caught between an inability to commit to a specific outcome and an inability to perceive a viable solution.💕

      Hello, Mariia!
Fascinating perspective! It evokes a sense of defeat, akin to the 5 of Swords, yet without the individual giving up or even discerning a clear path forward. It bears some resemblance to the Hanged Man, but in this instance, the emotions appear to be more potent.

      Appreciate the insight!

When this card appears, it typically indicates conflicting expressions or clear disagreements in beliefs, often involving others. In its reversed position, it suggests internalized conflict or a situation where no one is openly addressing the discord, leading to tension and a sense of blockage. ☹

        Hello Zena!

Your insights are fantastic! I never considered the meanings for both the normal and reversed positions. Your perspective has been immensely helpful, and I truly appreciate it.

        Thanks for the assistance!

I typically interpret the 5 of Wands more as a challenge rather than a full-blown fight. In my perspective, the 5 of Swords represents the fight card. I associate the 5 of Wands with situations that, even though they may not be easy due to various factors like different temperaments, involvement of other people, contrasting values, or challenging circumstances, somehow manage to make you vibrate. It's exciting, makes you feel alive, and you don't want to let it go. 🌝

Although the Thoth card bears the label "Strife," Crowley, in his book, emphasizes its connection to "striving." It depicts five individuals or concepts, each fervently vying for dominance. The act of striving is akin to the pleasure found in competition or a game. 🏆

In the RWS deck, every figure is confident in their approach to achieving a goal, whether it be constructing something or engaging in a game. Each participant believes their own idea or perspective is superior, seeking recognition and a voice. 🗣️

In the 6 of Wands, one of the figures or ideas emerges victorious, assuming a leadership role, while the others fall into line. 🏅

        Hello!
Encountering the 5 of Wands frequently may indeed point to a recurring theme of "strife" or conflict. In line with Thoth tarot, this card could signify internal turmoil or a willingness to confront you.

While some link it to "intense desire," I agree that it may not be the most fitting interpretation for the 5 of Wands. Instead, the card often suggests challenges and competitive energies rather than passionate desires.

Your recurring encounters with this card may highlight ongoing tensions or conflicts in the situation, urging a closer look at the sources of discord. Wishing you clarity and resolution in navigating these energies! 🌟🃏

The card may indicate a need for resolution or finding a constructive way to address conflicts. Exploring surrounding cards or considering the broader context in your readings might provide additional insights into the nature of these struggles. Best of luck navigating these energies! 🌟

Wands are often associated with creativity, and this anecdote reminds me of a game played at a writer's retreat in the 90s. Each participant was assigned a genre and given 15 minutes to write the beginning paragraph of a short story in that genre. The notebooks were then passed around, and participants continued the story they received. This creative exercise captures the essence of the 5 of Wands, reflecting the dynamic and energetic nature of collaborative creativity. 📝✨
