I've been coming to these forums for what seems like forever any time I would have a question about a recent spread. I finally have a question I can't find an answer to! Haha 😃

The last 3 readings I've tried to do, I got the 8 of wands in the EXACT same position, no matter WHAT spread I did.
How does he currently feel about me? - 8 of wands every time.
The 3rd time just happened about 10 minutes ago, and the cards are trying to get the message across with that one... so... anyone have any input? I know the basic idea and meaning behind the 8 of wands, but I've never had it come up in a position of how someone feels about me.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
PS - I use the Rider Waite deck.

    Hi! MiaJJJ
The 8 of Wands can mirror what the Fool experiences just after taking that step into the unknown—excitement, an adrenaline rush, too caught up in the moment to think about what happens next. It's often referred to as 'love sticks' for various reasons. This card signifies elements up in the air, in transit—whether through telephone calls, letters, or emails—without substantial physical contact. As an 8, it can be stuck in that transitional space, never reaching a conclusive resolution.

I tend to approach the 8 of Wands with caution. I've encountered it a few times in relation to accidents and death, possibly due to its association with leaving and transition. It might be helpful to check the card's placement in spreads—whether the action is coming toward you, going away from you, or blocked and not really progressing anywhere.

I'm not sure if this might be more confusing than helpful, but there are various ways to interpret tarot cards. Using the set meanings for the Minors is just one approach. Personally, I have my own method that works well for me. I connect the number of the Minor card back to the Major card of the same number and incorporate the basic meaning of the suit.

So, with the 8 of Wands, for instance, where 8 corresponds to Strength and Wands to creating, it suggests that the other person wants to build something robust with you—a lasting relationship that is resilient against external influences. In my interpretation, it indicates a desire to establish a strong bond between the two of you.

That's my reading approach, but it's just the starting point. In my method, I begin with that, and the card image often provides around 90% of the answer.

Each of the four suits in Tarot represents different "needs." Emotions are symbolized by cups, practical matters by pentacles, friends by wands, and the mind/communication by swords. Now, let's focus on Wands, which corresponds to social contacts. In the context of the 8's, which signify movement, it suggests that he is feeling quite passionate about you and is likely to express it in some way soon. 🔥

You might be overly spontaneous, desiring swift progress. Perhaps a bit flighty? In that deck, all those Wands are driving downward into the ground—maybe indicating that you're exerting too much pressure on them. 🌱

I would like to mention that it could also be interpreted as having the feeling that things are moving very fast, perhaps too fast, within the relationship. If you feel like you're pushing him, even "chasing" him, then I'd advise pulling back and giving him space and time to adjust. 😊

Another potential interpretation could be a sense of self-satisfaction. However, if that were the case, any negative aspect associated with this card would likely be shallower compared to the negative aspects of the 9 of Cups. It might also suggest that this person hasn't paid much attention to you for various reasons, such as being exceptionally busy, resulting in a lack of solidified feelings. 🤔🌟

It's quite intriguing that the 8 of Wands keeps appearing consistently in the position regarding how someone feels about you. While the card typically signifies swift movement, communication, or rapid progress, its appearance in a feelings context might suggest a sense of urgency or intensity in their emotions. It could indicate that this person feels a strong, fast-moving energy in connection with you—perhaps a surge of excitement or heightened communication. Consider the surrounding cards or context in your spreads for more nuanced insights, but the recurrence of the 8 of Wands may be emphasizing the swift and dynamic nature of their emotions. 🌪️🔮

The 8's signify movement, suggesting that he is feeling quite passionate about you.
