I'm pretty new to this and threw me off a loop with this one I did for a friend. It's a 5 card spread to see if we'd (they in this case since it wasn't a reading for myself) ever be together again. I use the Secrets of the Hidden Realm deck.
The Spread was for corners 1 & 3 on top, 2 & 4 on the bottom and 5 in the middle:
1 3
5
2 4

#1) Foundation of This Relationship:
This first card represents the core or generally a basis of your relationship. It can indicate shared values, mutual interests, or the primary energy that brought you two together. It’s the bedrock upon which everything is built
Card: Ten of Pentacles
Divination Meaning: In this card, the energy of earth shines beautifully and portends great things in a reading. For here, there is abundance, yes, but also deep connections to the past, which provide a long-term sense of stability. Stagnation, which can be a quality of earth, is mitigated by the seed of the future. There is no standing still. This is an ongoing cycle of a strong past, a contented present, and a hopeful future. The gifts promised in the Ten of Pentacles are not just material. The deep roots and forward focus bring a loving, spiritual quality, along with the physical happiness.

#2) Challenges and Obstacles:
Every relationship faces challenges. This second card will shed light on current obstacles or potential future challenges that might need addressing. It can also indicate internal or external factors that might be causing strain, or articulate something that's bothering either of you.
Card: Six of Pentacles
Divination Meaning: Although it seems counterintuitive, one way to increase abundance is to share what you have. The energy of earth, when mixed with the caring and generous energy of water, always seems to expand. Whether this actually creates more or just makes what you have better is unclear, but either way, it is a good thing. The Six of Pentacles lets you know that there really is plenty to go around. If you have some to spare, share it. If you need a little extra, someone nearby is sure to oblige. Any needs to perceived needs are just temporary, for your situation is a harmonious blend of need and abundance. Whether giving or receiving, everyone involved gets to feel good.

#3) Strengths and Blessings
This card highlights the strengths of the relationship. It can point to mutual respect, shared experiences, trust, or other positive energies that bind you together, It's a reminder of what's going right.
Card: The Sun
Divination Meaning: The Sun tarot card symbolizes vitality, energy, and overall good health, signifying a period of strength, positivity, and harmony in terms of health. The card encourages us to embrace a healthy lifestyle and to seek balance in our physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.

How to do a daily tarot reading) Hidden Influences
This card delves into the subconscious or unseen factors at play. It could be past experiences, hidden fears, or external influences that aren't immediately obvious. It's a peek behind the curtain.
Card: Four of Pentacles
Divination Meaning: Both the element of earth and the number four have strong associations with structure, stability, and safety. This card promises all of that. We seek shelter for our physical bodies but also for our less tangible aspects, such as our emotions, our mind, and our spirit. The safe space offered by the Four of Pentacles provides for all those needs. Such a place is ideal for healing or resting after a turbulent experience. Having such a stable foundation to return to also makes it easier to try new things and explore. There is a danger, though, in so much comfort. If you go into a haven and never come out, it becomes a grave.

What is Tarot?) Potential Future
Based on the current energies and patterns, this card offers a glimpse into the possible future of the relationship. It can indicate growth and deepening commitment, potential challenges ahead, or other pivotal events.
Card: The Blasted Beech (The Tower)
Divination Meaning: The beech tree is often used to symbolize hard-won or ancient knowledge, as well as the end of something, often by way of realization or revelation. The Blasted Beech draws your attention to your life philosophy or to whatever part of your belief system that is connected to the topic of your reading. That worldview may be dear to your heart. It may have provided stability and guidance as you moved through life. You could depend on it. It was true with a capital “T.” But nothing, not even a very useful life philosophy, lasts forever. All it takes is one revelation, one particular insight, and you suddenly have to rethink everything. After getting over the shock, reevaluate. See what survived the crash, what can be salvaged, and what is no longer useful.

The divination meanings are from the guide book that came with the deck.
Any thoughts or guidance?
Thank you,
Aurora

Greetings, Aurora! You received quite the spread, I must say. Now, let's get started!

  1. It appears that the Ten of Pentacles would be an excellent starting point. It's about having meaningful relationships, being stable, and having hope for the future. As a foundation, you want that kind of vitality.
  2. The Six of Pentacles, which is associated with difficulties and problems, seems to indicate that there might be some issues with the balance of giving and receiving. Perhaps getting everyone on the same page or striking a better balance is necessary.
  3. Sunlight for health and prosperity? Now that's what I call a happy vibe! Things like vigor, harmony, and health are vital. There seems to be a great deal of reason to rejoice in your partnership.
  4. With the Four of Pentacles representing hidden forces, it's clear that you need a secure and stable environment. Perhaps some deep-seated anxieties or unspoken needs for safety are calling out for attention.
  5. The Tower's prospective future... well, that's quite a change. According to this theory, big changes—maybe even shocking revelations or realizations—are on the horizon. Then again, sometimes change and new insights come from the most unexpected places.
In general, it appears like your partnership is well-established and filled with pleasant energy; yet, you should be aware that disruptions and imbalances may be on the way. Believe in the power of your connection, maintain an open mind, and keep talking. Strongly believe in your abilities! 🌾

Hello, Aurora! Exploring a tarot reading that has left you confused is always fun. Unpack your 5-card spread to find out what it says about the chance that you and your friend will get back together.
Ten of Pentacles: The basis of this relationship
Starting with the Ten of Pentacles is a good sign. Sharing successes and close ties is what this card represents. The meaning suggests that your relationship has a long past and a strong foundation, providing both physical and emotional stability. The meaning of this card is that what you've created together is valuable and made to last.
    Problems and difficulties—Six of Pentacles
Finding the right balance between giving and getting might be hard in your relationship, according to the Six of Pentacles. These cards make you think about whether both people in a relationship are giving as much as they are receiving, or if one person usually does more. Achieving a good balance where both individuals feel valued and encouraged is the main issue at hand.
    The Sun: Strengths and Blessings
If you want to bring joy, vitality, and good energy, the Sun card is a great choice. Basically, it means that when things are going well in your relationship, you are both happy, understanding, and growing. The Sun suggests that the good parts of your link can help you get through any problems that come up.
    Secret Influences—Four of Pentacles
To get security and safety, the Four of Pentacles card says, but be careful not to become too rigid or unwilling to change. This card could mean that one of you is hanging on too tightly to unpleasant memories of the past, which is stopping you from moving forward. Inviting you to look at what you're holding on to and decide if it's time to let go.
Possible Future: The Blasted Beech (The Tower)
The Blasted Beech, like The Tower in traditional cards, predicts big changes and problems. In most cases, this card shows a necessary change that, while upsetting at first, leads to a deeper understanding of oneself and a chance to start over on a more solid basis. As a result, the relationship may go through a big change that could totally change what it means to be together.

Your spread suggests that your relationship has a strong base and many good aspects. However, there are also big problems and possible changes that could completely change how you relate to each other. Balance and being open to changes that may be scary could lead to a deeper, more genuine relationship.

Stay honest and open-minded, Aurora! Handling these forces might be hard, but the results could be very satisfying. Stay open-hearted and honest.🌟

MariiaMelnyk With the Four of Pentacles, could that mean unpleasant memories that happened in the relationship or something from a past relationship? And The Blasted Beech (The Tower) - I should have pulled a clarifier.
How does that work after the fact?

Joanna13 Thank you for taking the time to help with this. I think I lack confidence when it comes to reading the cards. Second guessing, or overthinking them.. this particular one is just a confusing and complicated situation!

        AuroraEmber
Sure! The Four of Pentacles can indicate holding on to old memories or issues. This could be stopping your relationship from moving forward... For new change to happen, it means letting go of these things. You are welcome to add a clarifying note to The Blasted Beech (The Tower) after reading it for the first time. Then mix the cards and draw another one. Just think about what you need to know about this card. You should now have a better idea of what The Tower means after reading this.
