How do you interpret the 7 of Cups? I’m curious about your take on this card. I have the Rider-Waite deck, and the traditional meaning seems to lean toward "you're being overly imaginative or living in a fantasy world," or something along those lines. But I’m not entirely sold on that interpretation.
Do you see it differently? I'd love to hear your perspective!

    Hello there!

An interesting card to consider is the 7 of Cups. A multitude of options or choices can leave you feeling overwhelmed or unsure, according to the Rider-Waite deck. It's as if you're lost in thought, contemplating every possible course of action but yet unsure of what to do.

I don't believe it's solely related to having an overactive imagination or being mired in a fantastical realm, though. Finding out what is true and what is just wishful thinking is more important. This card can serve as a gentle reminder to keep your feet on the ground and gather all of your information before taking any action.

Obviously, the surrounding cards and the context of your reading will affect the message. "Discover your choices, but don't become entangled in delusions," it could be implying as well.

This is the "ADHD card." It’s like, “I can do this, and that, and maybe this too—oh wait, everything’s so complicated that I can’t focus on any of it because my brain is just too noisy. Why is everything so overwhelming?!” It’s a reminder to quiet the mind, simplify your choices, and reduce sensory overload. ✨

Thanks for bringing this up! Something I’d add is that it’s probably not the best moment to make any big decisions. I feel like it’s more about sitting with the options and really sensing what feels right for you. It can also be a time to let yourself dream a bit. There are lots of choices, but it’s not necessarily the time to make a final call.

Honestly, whenever I pull this card, I’m like, “Yep, I’m definitely confused right now!” There was a time when I kept pulling this card so often that I asked for a clarifier the next day and got the 7 of Cups again. At that point, I just accepted the confusion and decided to sit with it. 💞

I’m loving all the different takes people have on this card (so 7 of Cups!🏆). One of my go-to's is the idea that 'the world is your oyster.' Too often, we don’t let ourselves dream big, and that dragon seems way out of reach, so we end up settling for something less exciting. While we might not always get exactly what we want, we can at least explore what we’d really love to have.

Thanks a lot for helping me understand it! I really value your thoughts and the various points of view you have presented. I have a lot to think about now, and it has helped me see the cards in a new way. Thanks once more! 😊
