What’s everyone’s take on 7 of Swords reversed in relationship readings?

I’ve always found this card tricky to interpret, but reversed makes it even murkier for me — especially in love contexts. Sometimes I want to see it as a positive shift, like someone finally being honest or opening up after holding back. Maybe a confession, maybe clearing the air after something’s been weighing on them.

But I haven’t seen it enough in real-life readings to really get it. Have any of you experienced this energy directly — either in your own behavior or someone else’s? Curious how it’s shown up for you.

Oh yeah, I’ve had this one come up a few times in relationship spreads, and it definitely gave “truth coming out” vibes. Like someone couldn’t hold it in anymore — whether it was feelings, guilt, or even just finally admitting what they actually want. One time it showed up right before an ex messaged me outta nowhere and spilled a whole lot he’d been sitting on. 😅

I’ve also seen it show up when someone’s trying to stop being shady or secretive — kind of like a “turning over a new leaf” energy. Butttt it really depends on surrounding cards too. Sometimes it’s not as deep and just means someone’s trying (and failing) to be sneaky lol.

So yeah, I get your confusion — it can swing either way.

In relationships, I’ve seen it play out like someone almost gets away with being shady… but then their conscience taps them on the shoulder like, “Hey buddy, remember guilt? 🙂” Suddenly they're oversharing at 2AM and you're sitting there wondering if this is a confession or an emotional hostage situation.

Sometimes it’s someone finally telling the truth. Other times it’s like, “Surprise! Here’s everything I didn’t tell you three months ago.” Romantic? Debatable. Entertaining? Always.

10/10 chaotic energy. Use with caution.
