Hey everyone,
So, I’m in the middle of moving and ended up going down a rabbit hole reading through some old journals. Found an entry from about a year ago that kind of stopped me in my tracks — I had written about a dream where I saw my late grandparents. In the dream, only my grandma spoke. She was wearing this white veil, and she held up the Eight of Pentacles, telling me, “Whenever you see this card, just know it’s me and your Pappou speaking to you.”
Eights have always had some kind of significance for me when it comes to them, so I guess it makes sense in a way. But still… Eight of Pentacles? It caught me off guard. Like, if it were the Eight of Wands, that might make more immediate sense to me — a fast message, something coming in from spirit, that kind of energy.
Traditionally, when I think of the Eight of Pentacles, I see it as kind of straightforward: hard work, focused effort, consistency. Not really something I’ve personally looked at too deeply — for me it’s been one of those “it is what it is” cards. Solid, sure, but not super layered or mysterious.
That said, this dream made me wonder if I’ve been missing something. Has anyone here done a deeper dive into this card? Or maybe you’ve had a totally different experience with it? I’d love to hear what the Eight of Pentacles means for you, or if anyone’s had it show up in a way that felt more spiritual or symbolic.
Thanks in advance
