In Rider-Waite, Judgement is literally "the last judgement." The card shows souls rising up from the grave to be judged and basically asked if they’re worthy of heaven. Pretty heavy stuff, but also super meaningful.
For me, Judgement is all about big, final decisions — like the universe (or your own higher self) calling you out on what you’ve done and where you’re headed. It’s not random either, it’s tied to your past actions, choices, and growth.
If you look at it in the Fool’s Journey, Judgement comes right before The World. That’s important, because The World is all about completion, wholeness, and wrapping things up. So Judgement feels like that "last checkpoint" before you get there. Like: have you really learned the lessons? Have you let go of the old junk that was holding you back? Are you ready for the next level?
So the way I see it, Judgement is basically asking you to look at yourself honestly, face what’s been weighing you down, and clear it out. Whether it’s work, love, or life in general, the message is: you’re super close to a breakthrough, but you’ve gotta prove (mostly to yourself) that you’re ready.
