I’m curious how you usually read the 10 of Pentacles as intentions in a relationship spread. Would you take it more literally — like wanting a long-term commitment, family, and stability — or could it also mean something lighter, like just enjoying the connection and building good memories together?

I pulled it for someone’s intentions toward me, and while it feels positive, I’m wondering if it always points to "serious long-term" or if there are other shades of meaning you’ve seen come up.

I think it really depends on the connection between the two people.

Like, in a love reading, if they’ve just started dating, the 10 of Pentacles could be pointing to someone already thinking long-term or wondering if this could actually grow into something solid. But if it's not an established relationship, sometimes it reads more like, "I've already got everything I need, I'm good on my own." In that case, their intentions might lean toward staying single, or only letting in people who add real value and stability to their life.

If it's an ex, I'd probably see it as them focusing on what they've built for themselves post-breakup and being content with that separation.

Also, tens in tarot usually signal completion or the final stage of a cycle. It doesn't always mean "moving to the next level." Sometimes it's just: this is the outcome, this is as far as it goes.
