For me I usually do a cut-shuffle. I avoid the bridge shuffle because it can warp or wear the deck over time.
With a cut-shuffle I take a chunk from the middle, then drop small packets alternately onto the top and bottom.
When I'm reading for someone else I ask them to focus on their question while I shuffle, kind of connecting with their energy. I usually let them give the deck a little shuffle themselves before I lay out the spread.
After the reading I put the cards back in one by one, alternating sides so cards that were next to each other in the spread don't end up stuck together again.
Hope that helps!
