What do you call yourself as a card reader?

I’ve seen tarot folks call themselves all kinds of things—readers, fortune tellers, oracles, witches, mystics, consultants, even shamans. What do you call yourself? Do you use a specific name or title, and does it tie to a certain style, technique, or vibe?

For example, most of the traditional readers I’ve met in the US use "card cutters," probably because of the shuffling and cutting ritual during a reading.

Not trying to start a debate about how tarot should be used, just curious what language people naturally reach for when describing what they do.

I usually just say I'm "into tarot" and leave it at that. Keeps people from immediately asking me to read for them 😅 Maybe down the line I'll feel confident enough to call myself something more official, but yeah... not there yet.

I go with cartomancer. Nice and simple. It just says, "there are cards, I work with them." Anything else I might add, spiritual or magical, doesn't need to be on display right away.
