Honestly... I don’t think I have any real rules!
If I’m reading in person, I usually have the other person shuffle — mostly just to help them feel more connected to the process, not because I think it has to be done that way.
I do have certain habits (like I tend to shuffle and cut the same way every time out of muscle memory), but nothing I’d call a rule. I don’t mind if people touch my cards or not, I don’t do any specific rituals before or after readings, and I don’t store my decks in any special way.
I’ve been using tarot for around 10 years now, and I’ve kind of just let it stay loose and intuitive. No fixed structure — just whatever feels right in the moment.
