So I just got the Matt Hughes Ethereal Visions Tarot deck as a gift. The gold foil is gorgeous and really catches the light, but I’m feeling a bit conflicted. Some of the artwork is stunning, but the facial expressions on the figures don’t quite resonate with me — there’s something about them that feels off. Also, the symbolism seems a bit different from what I’m used to in other decks. For example, I pulled the Three of Cups recently, and it didn’t have the usual celebratory vibe I’m accustomed to. The guidebook that came with it is also pretty minimal, and I was expecting more detailed explanations.
Has anyone else worked with this deck? What are your thoughts on the artwork, symbolism, and guidebook? Would love to hear your experiences.
