6 of Cups reversed - is this a yes or a no?

Could use a second opinion.

I recently ended a connection with someone, we get along but it was obvious we’re not compatible for a relationship. We both said we’d like to stay friends, but he’s kinda terrible at communication so I’m not convinced it’ll actually happen.

I asked my deck if we’ll stay friends and pulled the 6 of Cups reversed.

The internet’s split on this one. Reversals often lean “no,” but for some reason I’m feeling like this might be a yes. It feels like holding onto the good parts of the past, which could fit staying friends. Then again, maybe I’m just being overly optimistic, lol.

What do you all think - am I reading this right or totally off?

I always read the 6 of Cups as the comfort stuff in your life, like your favorite blanket, a childhood stuffed animal, or that go-to comfort food. Reversed, it's like the plushie got moldy and gives you allergies, or you burned your comfort meal-it's still technically edible but it just doesn't hit the same. So if you two stay friends, it probably won't feel like it used to; the vibe won't bring that same emotional comfort anymore.

Upright 6 of Cups is pretty much about nostalgia, childhood memories, and looking back with warm feelings. Reversed is more like a push to move on and not let the past shape your current relationships or future.

It's also a reality check for the friendship. If communication was messy before, this card is a heads-up that those same patterns could show up again unless you both actually try to change things.

As a yes/no? I don't read it as either. For me it's more like proceed with caution - take a beat and reflect before jumping in.
