Hey yall. I just did a 3 card reading trying to gain some insight while reflecting on a very significant relationship from my past. The cards didn't have any specified or categorized positions, just a general 3 card spread. I pulled the 7 of Pentacles, the 10 of Cups, and the 6 of Wands. A jumper was the 9 of cups, if anyone prioritizes those, although I am mainly seeking guidance on the three I pulled.

Since I'm taking the time to reflect on this particular situation/relationship, I think the 7 can speak to that pause and contemplation. About a half an hour before I did the reading I was thinking about it and for whatever reason the 10 of cups came to mind and I ended up pulling it, but I'm not sure what it's trying to say in this context. I know the 6 of Wands is a positive, but I am still learning so I have a bit of difficulty in general spreads like this, rather than what I normally do which is specify each card to a position (past, advice, outcome, etc).

Any insight would be great!

Hello Tay! Those are the most beautiful playing cards I've ever seen for thinking back on a special connection. Allow me to dissect them:

  • The 7 of pentacles: As you mentioned, it clearly indicates a moment of rest, introspection, and consideration. It’s like you’re evaluating the growth, energy, and effort that went into the relationship. This card is all about looking at what’s been invested and deciding if it was worth it or what could have been done differently. Since you’re reflecting on the past, this card supports the process of weighing what worked and what didn’t.
  • 10 of Cups: This card is often associated with emotional fulfillment, harmony, and the ideal of “happily ever after.” Since it popped into your mind before the reading, it could be pointing to what you thought or hoped this relationship would bring. Perhaps it represents the emotional fulfillment or happiness you were seeking in the relationship, even if it didn’t fully manifest in reality. It could also be a nudge to reflect on the joy and emotional connection that did exist at its best moments.
  • The 6 of Wands is a triumphant, acknowledged, and prosperous card. In the context of a previous relationship, it could imply that you've become stronger and gained valuable lessons from the experience. Alternatively, it may indicate that you've achieved something significant, such as a boost to your self-esteem, knowledge of your own value, or insight into your relationship goals for the future.
  • 9 of Cups (Jumper): This one’s all about personal fulfillment and satisfaction. As a jumper, it could be highlighting the importance of focusing on your happiness and emotional well-being. Maybe this relationship, in its reflection, is nudging you toward a sense of peace and self-love—what fills your cup, so to speak.

Overall, it seems like this spread is encouraging you to reflect not only on the relationship itself but also on how it has contributed to your emotional growth. You’re in a strong position to recognize what you've gained and how you can apply these insights moving forward.

Hope that resonates! 💖

Your spread seems to be all about reflection and growth.

    1. 7 of Pentacles: Definitely speaks to your pause and contemplation, taking stock of that relationship.
    2. 10 of Cups: Since it came to mind before the reading, it could highlight what you hoped for emotionally or point toward inner peace and acceptance.
    3. 6 of Wands: A reminder of your personal growth—you're coming out on top, and feeling more confident.
    4. Jumper - 9 of Cups: Adds a layer of emotional fulfillment, signaling you're on the path to personal happiness.

In summary, it’s about acknowledging your growth and the emotional clarity you're gaining.

Thank you so much this was beautiful! I've finally been able to find some peace with the situation so I like that piece of insight, there were a LOT of intense emotions and situations that happened as a result of this relationship so it took me a bit longer than normal to find that peace. Thanks again this was super helpful
